Spring 24

Michael started his career studying fashion design at art school.  Pattern drafting and dress making came easily to him but at the time he could not even draw a stick figure.  These days he does not often have the chance to actually make dresses but he has come to love setting a timer and quickly processing a story concept as a dress collection to help him process.

 

Spring 24 is a look at the changing of seasons from winter to spring.  Michael enjoys the contrast found as the melting snow begins to give way to the earth tones beneath.  Michael chose to explore this concept by designing a series with contrasting Egyptian and Greek influences to see where they meet and enhance rather than distract from each other’s beauty.
