The Story
Michael Davis Seng has built a career defined by constant innovation and versatility, bridging experience in fashion, music, film, broadcasting, branding, and fine art. Each creative discipline informs the others, allowing Michael to craft compelling stories and immersive experiences that engage and inspire.


Michael’s artistic journey began in fashion design at VMCAD, where he developed his foundational skills in drawing and painting. Awarded the Critiques Choice Award, he quickly established his ability to merge technical precision with expressive vision. From there, he expanded his artistic horizons, earning a BA in Music Production from Malone University, where he was recognized as the "Outstanding Senior" in his major.
Transitioning into film and video production, Michael Worked alongside mentors John Baumgartner and Steve Campenella on independent film, documentary and commercial projects.

Over the next seven years as Video Director at CCC, Michael specialized in crafting large-scale productions and ten plus camera broadcasts, skillfully combining footage, motion design, graphics and music theory to ensure that his narrative storytelling enhanced rather than distracted from both music performances and presentations. During this time he also guided the production of hundreds of videos in a myriad of content lengths and genres.
Currently, Michael serves as the Associate Director of Door 2 Art Studio, blending his expertise in fine art, video production, art direction, branding, and creative strategy. His collaborations include partnerships with local governments, independent artists, and organizations, both locally and abroad, all united by a desire to craft innovative approaches to building up the community through empowering artists.

In his personal artistic practice, Michael seeks to promote empathy, hope. and personal growth through expressing life experiences in abstract and thought-provoking ways. His works, range from abstract paintings to new media installations, and delve into topics such as mental health, migraine and technology addiction. Recent works include his thought-provoking "Seasons of Mental Health" series and features in displays at venues like the Akron Art Museum, Western Reserve Hospital, and the Peg's Gallery.
In addition to his role at Door 2, Michael actively freelances, producing diverse creative content across multiple media channels—ranging from videos and motion graphics to brand and creative consulting. His clients such as Theranica Bio-Electronics, NYU, JSBfilm, and YU, span industries and borders, reflecting his versatility and commitment to innovation. Michael has now produced over 2000 total videos thus far in his career with countless more motion graphics and social media shorts.
